About BeerMap

BeerMap is a focused atlas of beer culture, anchored in Grey County and Bruce County, Ontario. It is part of the Map.ca sister-site network — small, local, careful sites that each rank on their own SEO merit and funnel their visitors into the orchestrator at map.ca.

Methodology

Every brewery is sourced from at least two independent researchers — three large language models cross-referenced against each other, with brewery websites as the primary source of truth. Where two of three agree on a fact, that fact is accepted. Where they disagree, the entry is flagged for human review.

As of this build: 12 breweries, 135 beers, 65 distinct BJCP styles. 9 brewery entries are confirmed by two or more sources; 3 are still pending hand-review.

What's coming

• Phase 2: every brewery in Ontario.
• Phase 3: every brewery in Canada.
• Live tap lists, currently-pouring data, and festival maps — delivered through paid scrapes once the base atlas is solid.
